Hou Hsiao-hsien Project
Directed by Hou Hsiao-hsien
Inspired by Japanese master Yasujiro Ozu's films, Hou Hsiao-hsien shoots in Japan with Japanese actors and staffs for the very first time. The story depicts the love of a young journalist, her everyday life and problems with her parents - a recurring theme that Ozu liked to portray. Hou's last 4 films were in competition in Cannes.
