A brand new form of entertainment that unites theater and cinema!
Synopsis
Annual stage production “Takizawa Kabuki” has thrilled and enchanted audiences ever since it began in 2006, with Johnny Kitagawa serving as planner, writer, and supervising director. Last year, the show ascended to a new level under the direction of Hideaki Takizawa and starring the performance group Snow Man.
This is not a mere digital recording of the “Takizawa Kabuki Zero” stage show presented as a movie. All scenes were performed specially for the film, bringing the overwhelming physical power of “Muscle Drums,” action, and dance to the screen, as well as conveying the thrill of live theater with play-within-a-play “Nezumi Kozo,” and new scenes created exclusively for this cinematic entertainment.
Set in a near-future city, the film’s central motif that expresses a cool and stylish world view and gallantly presents the nine members of Snow Man was devised and directed by Hideaki Takizawa himself. It exudes the exciting allure of a new brand of entertainment that is neither purely cinema nor theater, and will no doubt become one of late 2020’s major talking points.
